Meet Ronald Howard
Ronald Howard’s journey was guided by faith, strengthened by history, experience, and devotion to service. He enlisted in the Marine Corps Reserve as a junior in high school and then in college. He spent time in those summers in the 1950s at the Marine Corps base, Camp Pendleton, CA. He learned lessons about duty that stayed with him during his 28-year career in the U.S. Armed Forces.
He met his wife on his first overseas duty assignment in the United Kingdom in 1958, and they were married there in 1961. He retired from the U.S. Air Force with over 900 combat flying hours, carrying with him the values of Duty, Honor, and Country. He had a 14-month deployment to Vietnam—14 months because of the requirement to get through three survival schools before reporting for duty. A duty with honor he still reveres for the Gold Star Families of those who lost their loved ones in that war.
After retiring from the Air Force, he went into sales. After a period, he became a Vice President of Sales and Marketing and then a Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing for two companies with a national presence over the next 20-plus years.
